David de San Benito

David as a Cisco employee is based in Madrid and is also member of the Cisco leadership team for Spain in the field of CSR and entrepreneurship activities.
David was born in Madrid in the neighbourhood of Chamberí, well known for its “tapas”. He describes himself as a social innovation professional, technology enthusiast and community builder. David loves swimming, eating nice Mediterranean food and sailing. In his spare time he loves spending time with his wife and two sons as well as mentoring young entrepreneurs.
Before moving to the CSR field, David began his career working first in the financial department and then in the Chairman’s Office at Telefónica. It was in 2006 when he decided to put all his skills and passion to do well while doing good, joining the Telefónica CSR Global department. To date, he has helped over 1,500 young people develop their entrepreneurial skills. He is an entrepreneur himself, having founded his own social venture. And he has worked hands-on with social entrepreneurs on developing their MVPs, finding their product-market fits, executing their growth strategies and securing a $15 million in total funding from impact investors through the Telefonica social impact accelerator Wayra UnLtd.
