Dawn Ward

Dawn is President of the World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics and is the Chief Executive of Burton and South Derbyshire College in the UK. In April 2022 she was appointed as a Deputy Lieutenant for the county of West Midlands, in England. She is also Deputy Chair of the Chartered Institution for Further Education. Dawn has extensive experience in senior positions at Board level (both as a NED and Chair). She has received numerous awards throughout her extensive career in technical and professional education including Principal of the year from the Centre for Excellence in Leadership, and a leadership in race equality award from the Network for Black and Asian Professionals. She was promoted by Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth II to a CBE in 2014 for her services to Education and was awarded The Medal of Merit from The Royal House of Georgia for her expertise in the international field of Education.
