Ioanna Lytrivi

Ioanna Lytrivi is a Member of Hellenic Parliament as State Deputy. She is a Political Scientist with a PhD in Education, Training and Employment Policies. She is a graduate of the University of Athens, School of Philosophy, in Linguistics, and she holds a Master’ s degree in educational policy. She serves as Secretary of the Standing Parliamentary Committee on Cultural and Educational Affairs and Member of the Special Permanent Parliamentary Committee on Equality, Youth and Human Rights. She is also member of the Parliamentary Subcommittees for Combating Human Trafficking and Exploitation and for People with Disabilities.

As the Managing Director of the National Organization for the Certification of Qualifications and Vocational Guidance (E.O.P.P.E.P.), during the 2019-2023 period, she contributed to highlighting the quality dimensions of lifelong education, professional training, and career counseling, playing a catalytic role in the certification process of professional qualifications in Greece. Among other achievements, there should be noted the certification of the new Training Guide standards, the approval of the new methodology for developing and updating Professional Profiles, the simplification of the licensing for private secondary education and foreign language tutorial centers, and the digital issuance of Certificates and Diplomas.

During the same period she also represented Greece as a Member of the Governing Board of the European Training Foundation (ETF) while she was Member of the EU Advisory Group for the European Qualifications Framework (EQF Advisory Group). She teaches Social Research Methodology and Total Quality Management at Neapolis University of Cyprus as affiliated academic staff. She has worked as a Special Advisor in the Hellenic Parliament and the Ministries of Administrative Reform and Governance (2011-2019). Prior to that, she worked as a scientific coordinator in public lifelong learning institutions (2009-2011).
