
Ioanna Lytrivi
Ioanna Lytrivi is a political scientist with a Ph.D. in lifelong education, training, and employment policies from the University of Crete, Department of Political Science, where she also obtained her master’s degree. She studied at the School of Philosophy in Athens, Department of Greek Philology.
As the Managing Director of the National Organization for the Certification of Qualifications and Vocational Guidance (E.O.P.P.E.P.), during the 2019-2023 period, she contributed to highlighting the quality dimensions of lifelong education, professional training, and career counseling, playing a catalytic role in the certification process of professional qualifications in Greece. Among other achievements, she ensured that graduates of Vocational Training Institutes (IEK) had the opportunity to continue their studies in higher education, certified the new Training Guide standards, approved the new methodology for developing and updating Professional Profiles, simplified the licensing process for private secondary education and foreign language tutorial centers, and developed the capability for digital issuance of Certificates and Diplomas to successful certification exam candidates.
During the same period, she served as a member of the Board of Directors of the European Training Foundation (ETF) and represented Greece in the EU Advisory Group for the European Qualifications Framework (EQF).
She teaches Social Research Methodology at Neapolis University in Cyprus as affiliated academic staff.
She has worked as a scientific advisor in the Hellenic Parliament and the Ministries of Administrative Reform and Governance (2011-2019).
Prior to that, she worked as a scientific coordinator in public lifelong learning institutions (2009-2011).
